Job Summary and Key Objectives
- Multi tasking position involving the clinical evaluation and sale of Nova clinical products.
- Lead clinical product specialist, responsible for the sales and growth of clinical products in his/her respective territory.
- Interfaces with Nova field sales representatives to develop their qualified leads and convert them into sales.
Reporting Relationships
- Reports directly to the General Manager Nova Iberia
- Works closely with European Medical and Scientific Affairs (MASA)
- No direct reports
Essential Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Interfaces with Medical Directors, Nursing Staff, Point-of-Care Coordinators, Laboratory Directors and Administration of Major Medical Centres and University Hospitals to promote and sell Nova’s clinical products
- Performs on-site pre- and post-sales application studies for clinical products according to approved Nova study protocols.
- Reviews, prepares data outputs, and presents performance data obtained during the above onsite applications studies to various buying interests and prospective customers.
- Works with new customers after the sale to streamline validation requirements for clinical products to ensure a successful smooth transition to Nova technology.
- When necessary, performs onsite customer training for new installations
- Supports Scientific Marketing Studies conducted in collaboration with Nova Biomedical’s MASA department, reviewing protocol details with the customer. Ensures adherence to the protocols throughout the study.
- Coordinates studies and projects with national key opinion leaders and clinical associations
- Requires the ability to understand and educate end users on product application issues and possess the ability to perform data analysis in support of clinical applications department objectives.
- Ability to act as a resource to field support peers in sales and technical support.

- Interacts with local and corporate sales, marketing, technical service and MASA team
- Interacts with Iberian customers
- Interacts with external parties such as key opinion leaders and national associations
- Interacts with other European Nova Subsidiaries
Skills and Competencies
- Clinical laboratory knowledge, Management and/or POCT experience is ideal for this position.
- In addition to Spanish language, fluent English language is required.
- Experience with bedside Glucose Meters and Blood Gas systems is ideal
- A general understanding of statistical data is required.
- Microsoft Excel capabilities required
- Diagnostics industry or hospital related sales experience is a plus

Education
- A degree in a medical or scientific discipline or relevant work experience in a comparable role.
