Clinical Sales Specialist - Netherlands

Job Summary and Key Responsibilities

  • Assume full sales responsibility for the Nova Critical Care & POC product family within the defined territory
  • Meet and ideally exceed agreed sales targets for the defined territory
  • Identify new opportunities by creative account prospecting and comprehensive account qualification
  • Manage the sales territory by implementation of an effective sales call (visits) planning schedule
  • Perform an adequate number of product presentations and demonstrations to ensure sales targets are achieved
  • Maintain the Customer Relationship Database (salesforce.com) and keep it updated
  • Maintain a regular program of after-sales customer care calls (visits) to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Attend relevant exhibitions, congresses and workshops
  • Maintain operating expenses within budget
  • Assist the General Manager in setting the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) targets for revenue and expenses
  • Feedback to General Manager on observed trends and competitive activities within the market
  • Assist the Technical Support team in the installation of new systems and training of operators
  • Assist the Technical Support team in the identification and resolution of after sales issues
  • Work closely with the Application Specialist to support Lab Sales Evaluations and further presentations
  • Work closely with the Marketing Specialist to develop campaigns for the sales territory

 

Competencies and Qualifications

  • Successful sales experience as a Clinical Sales Specialist for a minimum of 4-6 years or previous related experience within the in vitro diagnostics industry, particularly with Point of Care products.
  • Good level of English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, good communication – written and verbal skills are essential
  • Bioengineer, Biologist, Pharmacist, Physician, and/or medical background is preferred
  • Good competency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point)
  • Good comprehension of point of care testing within a health care setting
  • Driving licence and the willingness to travel extensively within the sales territory and occasionally to overseas meetings.
