Nova Biomedical is hiring an Glass Sensor Assembler I on our First Shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM or 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) in our Waltham, MA facility. The Glass Sensor Assembler I is responsible for the processing of the various glass-based for both core and OEM analyzers. Under general supervision, this person will perform routine assembly operations. Must have the ability to work independently and efficiently. Required to manufacture only the highest quality assemblies while meeting manufacturing schedules. Other responsibilities include:

• Ability to work with various epoxies, solvents and chemicals as required during assembly.
• Requires a high level of attention to detail through all aspects of the assembly process to produce high product yields.
• Must have the ability to set up and operate a variety of production equipment such as auto testers, automatic dispensing equipment, auto polishers, laser coders, glass grinders, lathes, and soldering irons.
• Ability to understand assembly procedures, drawings, verbal instructions and related process documentation is required.

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:

• Good math and communication skills
• Basic knowledge of GMP
• Physical Requirements:
  • Requires repetitive use of arms/wrists/hands while setting up/working with equipment/computer throughout the day.
  • Will require use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which may include but is not limited to safety glasses, lab coat, gloves, and ESD straps.
  • Must have good hand/eye coordination and visual acuity, some microscope use required.

Education/Experience:

• High School/Trade School diploma
• 0-2 years of experience
