IT System Administrator Infrastructure

Location: Frankfurt, DE

Nova Biomedical is hiring an IT System Administrator Infrastructure (on-site - Frankfurt Germany), to act as a primary and 2nd Line IT Support person for all users in all European subsidiaries, focusing on subsidiaries without a local IT resource i.e. As the IT System Administrator Infrastructure, you will be responsible for resolving and coordinating issues related to the local IT Infrastructure as well as maintaining the local IT Infrastructure. You will also aid in preparing IT end user documentation, written IT procedures, and IT work instructions.
More specific responsibilities will include:

  • Client and Asset Management - Provisioning of client hardware, in particular notebooks (Windows 10/11 and VolP telephony)
  • Mobile Device Management - Mobile device (iOS, Android) provisioning, device configuration and setup, and support
  • Server and Storage Management - Set up new (physical and virtual) servers, monitor, maintain and update servers, storage, and network infrastructure.
  • Problem management and (remote) troubleshooting to ensure smooth operation in day-to-day business as part of I st and 2 nd level support (focus: Exchange, SharePoint Online, MS Teams, MS Outlook, LAN/WLAN, VPN Client, and individual workstations of our employees).
  • Local Firewall Configuration Support - Support for configuration changes (understanding & defining request, communicate with US) but configuration would still be done via the Senior LAN Supervisor in the US or Senior Manager, Information Technology and Technical Support, Europe. (The System Administrator Infrastructure, Europe would not have configuration access).
  • Working with the Microsoft System Center family of administrative tools, Microsoft 365, Exchange Server, network hardware (LAN/WAN), and Microsoft Remote Server Administration tools
  • Assist Subsidiaries with projects related to SharePoint Online collaboration platform and related processes.
  • Help to conduct audits of the local IT infrastructure in each Subsidiary.
  • Provide SAP user support.
  • Support digitization projects and the introduction of new software in all specialist areas.
  • Work on special IT projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • BS (or equivalent) in Computer Science (IT) + a minimum of 3 years work experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of IT/Network administration experience in I st and 2 nd Line IT Support, especially for Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure
  • Fluent in German and/or French and English (written and oral)
  • Advanced IT User skills for Microsoft 365 Office especially in combination with SharePoint Online
  • Familiar with Information Security standards like IS027001
  • Basic understating of SAP
  • Understanding of GDPR requirements
  • Good knowledge and experience in network administration, EDR Software, VPN, Firewalls, and VolP
  • Solid understanding of wired and wireless networking solutions, cabling needs, firewalling, and routers.
  • Ability and willingness to travel within Europe for up to 20% of total working time.
  • Intercultural skills (Europe/USA) a plus
