Installation Manager, Connectivity Solutions

Location: Denver, CO

Nova Biomedical is hiring an Installation Manager, Connectivity Solutions. (In the St. Paul, MN, Denver, CO or Salt Lake City region). As the Installation Manager, you will be responsible for the implementation and support for Nova products as well as integration with 3rd party connectivity products, middleware systems and various ADT and LIS systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Implementation Manager assigned IT connectivity projects for StatStrip, StatSensor, and Blood Gas implementations.
  • Manage all assigned StatStrip, StatSensor, and Blood Gas connectivity implementations including:
    • Review connectivity project with customer.
    • Coordinate with customer IT department to ensure network, server, and patch readiness.
    • Oversee and/or perform installations on customer servers.
    • Perform onsite connectivity and configuration proofs.
    • Provide POCC training in the setup and connection of meters and analyzers.
  • Perform on-site hookup of equipment and docking stations where it meets onsite guidelines and ensure proper data flow between 3rd party connectivity products.
  • Travel 50-70% of the time to conduct new customer training and connectivity implementations.
  • Provide technical training to both internal and external customers via onsite visit or VPN.
  • Provide post implementation customer service, troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues.
  • Provide R&D programming analysts information to assist in resolving technical issues.
  • Provide feedback to internal groups and National Manager, Connectivity Field Support on issues that may arise during and after Implementations
  • Work on group projects, interacting with development staff as well as connectivity project co-workers.
  • Evaluate/process requests for system enhancements/modifications.
  • Work as needed with Technical Support to assist with hotline calls.

Qualifications:

  • BS in a technical discipline (Clinical Laboratory Sciences, Computer Science, Life Sciences).
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of clinical diagnostics experience with bedside Glucose testing and/or POC experience involving data management, LIS, and HIS connectivity solutions for hospitals.
  • Strong IT knowledge Including: Servers, Networks (both wired and wireless), SQL Databases and simple queries, troubleshooting and critical thinking, Windows Desktop and Server operating systems, knowledge of security practices, software installation, and hardware setup and configuration.
  • Understanding of wireless and wired networking solutions, cabling needs, clinical interfacing and downloading of POC devices and applications, firewalling, and routers.
  • Good understanding of Point of Care testing.
  • WindowsTM experience.
  • Web Interfaces, Relational Databases, as well as experience with Serial, EDI, and scripted interfaces.
  • Strong customer, presentation, problem solving, and project management skills are essential for success in this position.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Ability to engage in overnight travel 50% - 70%.
  • WindowsTM Server experience, Web Interfaces, Relational Databases, as well as an understanding of wired and wireless networking solutions, cabling needs, clinical interfacing of POC devices, firewalling, and routers

Salary Range: $105k - $115k
