LATAM Account Specialist - Mexico City, MX

Nova Biomedical is looking for an Account Specialist to be based in Mexico City, Mexico reporting to the Senior Manager of International Sales.

Nova Biomedical is a company dedicated to using advanced technology to develop better blood testing analyzers for medical use. These products are called in vitro diagnostic devices (IVD). We use some of the same advanced technology to provide the biotechnology industry with innovative instruments for cell culture monitoring. This is a great opportunity for Nova Biomedical and our distributer in Mexico to accelerate market adoption of current and new products. As the Account Specialist, you will be employed by and represent Nova Biomedical working with the local dealer to customize existing Nova sales tools such as webinars, seminars, direct mail and email blasts as well as provide in-depth Nova product and applications knowledge.

Specific Responsibilities:

Increase Nova Biomedical revenue and market share

Develop and present to management, market and product launch plans for Nova’s product lines within the Mexico Territory, including, but not limited to:

Achieving AOP Unit and Revenue targets while ensuring compliance with approved operating expense budget

Driving adoption and growth of Nova’s products including new products primarily in Mexico and increasingly across Latin America

Directly developing and managing Nova’s Key Account &Centers of Excellence (COE) business

Developing long term relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) by targeting, engaging, and deploying KOLs in peer-to-peer activities and COEs on behalf of Nova

Managing Nova Distributor/Customer relationships across the territory

Assisting and liaising with Nova’s International Management Team (Sales, Marketing, MASA and Tech /App.’s) in the development and implementation of focused business plans, strategies and activities for multiple products line markets that ensure the attainment of Nova’s international sales goals and profitability targets

Providing accurate local market intelligence and complete timely reporting relating to all aspects of Nova’s business within the region

Comply with and complete all administrative responsibilities as directed by management including but not limited to activity tracking in Salesforce.com, weekly expense reports, monthly review of territory business plan, develop and maintain product funnel and conference call attendance.

Qualifications

University degree and minimum of 5 years of experience in medical device sales

Proven success selling laboratory diagnostic product and knowledge of the Mexico IVD market

Strong communication skills with proven ability to self-manage complex sales cycles

English & Spanish fluency

Ability to travel (50%) in Mexico and some international
