About the role

The PCB test Technician must be able to operate test and measurement equipment, such as Oscilloscopes and multimeters, to test PCB boards. Must have excellent working knowledge of computers and electronic components. Must demonstrate proficiency with menu driven computer programs. Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions. Will assist the Group Leader with calibration/maintenance of test fixtures. Will train and assist less skilled technicians. Will work closely with manufacturing engineering to troubleshoot complex boards, suggesting improvements, and executing validations.

What you’ll do

  • Maintain accurate paperwork
  • Read and understand schematics
  • Test complex SMT boards
  • Load software in systems
  • Complete quality work by self-inspection
  • recognize defective materials and disposition them appropriately
  • Implement changes per ECO/MV requirements
  • Work with R&D on new and unreleased products
  • Troubleshoot failing boards and communicate potential solutions
  • Train less skilled technicians
  • Continue to acquire knowledge necessary to perform the duties essential to the present job as it evolves

What we are looking for in you

  • Basic understanding of ESD practices
  • Ability to read and understand OPs, OIs, TPs, or other supporting procedural documentation
  • Flexible in taking on different job responsibilities
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Ability to problem-solve a variety of problems of high complexity and scope and requires reasoning to produce desired outcomes
  • Ability to read and speak English
  • Good organizational skills
  • Good written and communication skills
  • Degree - Technical School preferred
  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience

Physical Requirements for this role include:

    • Able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
    • Able to lift thirty pounds.
    • Must be proficient with office equipment and programs such as Document Control software, ERP System, Microsoft Office, copiers, printers, and computers.

Work Location: on-site in our Waltham facility 5 days/week (M-F)

Targeted Salary Range: $28 - $32/hour

Working Hours: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
