Nova Biomedical is hiring a Machinist Apprentice in our Waltham, MA facility. The Machinist Apprentice performs material handling, material delivery, hand finishing operations, basic machining operations, and assists the Machine Shop Group Leader. Other responsibilities include:

• Deburring, tumbling, washing, and countersinking of parts.
• Counting and shipping parts.
• Receiving and storing stock material.
• Working on production (hand screw and manual miller).
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:

• Read and write English and follow written/verbal instructions.
• Perform basic math.
• Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Ability to learn use of micrometers, depth micrometers, verniers, and other hand tools.
• Ability to learn and read blueprints.

Education/Experience:

• High School graduate or equivalent.
