Nova Biomedical is hiring an Industrial Engineering Co-Op for the July cycle (July to December 2025) on-site in our Billerica, Enterprise Rd facility (hours: M-F 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM). This opportunity is dedicated for current undergraduate Industrial Engineering students local to Massachusetts. The Industrial Engineering Co-Op will work on-site on our Billerica, Enterprise Rd facility to support Nova Biomedical’s instrument manufacturing operation. This opportunity will provide valuable, hands-on learning experience for the Co-Op student and will provide an opportunity to apply coursework in the production environment.

Other responsibilities include:

• Assisting and/or leading with conducting instrument assembly and test time studies.
• Assisting and/or leading production efficiency and improvement projects.
• Evaluating and improving production floor layout and flow for greater efficiency and visual identification of instrument status.
• Performing production risk identification and mitigation.
• Assisting and/or leading the development of a visual shop floor overview system.
• Supporting other manufacturing operations at other Billerica and Waltham manufacturing sites, as directed by management.

Qualifications:

• System and optimization thinking.
• Quantitative and data driven decision making.
• Experienced with writing Engineering studies and reports. Clear communicator with the ability to guide others in a study

Education/Experience:

• Enrolled in a B.S. in Industrial Engineering or related major with a minimum of one full year of coursework completed.
• Previous internship or co-op experience in a related field, preferred.
