About the role

As an integral part of the global biopharma business, the Field Application Scientist role supports the execution of new and existing market opportunities to build and maintain revenue streams. This role will be focused on, but not limited to, new technologies and scientific applications in emerging therapeutic. Working as a member of the Sales team, this will be a highly collaborative role and will have close partnerships with Field and Tech Support, Field Applications, Sales and Product Management. This role will ensure the customer success in the transition of new applications and workflows from early adopters to the sales and FAS organization.

What you’ll do

  • Facilitate the smooth transition of new workflows and applications to FAS/Sales/Support teams
  • Ensure consistency and adoption of best practices for demonstrations of these new workflows
  • Troubleshoot technical and scientific problems during the installation, training, and other post sales processes
  • Write high quality data reports for customer evaluations which can be presented to the customer as part of the
  • sales closure process
  • Carry out in-house demonstrations and customer sample evaluations for all Solentim products as appropriate
  • Provide training for early-adopter of assays released by Solentim
  • Provide training and onboarding for new FAS members
  • Participate in design and review of collaborations that support new technology adoptions
  • Participate in the launch of new technologies to the Sales and FAS team in terms of technical training on the science and scientific value of the technology; generation of training presentations and technical papers to demonstrate the value of the new technology
  • Plan and deliver sales demonstrations.
  • Day-to-day applications support to existing customers, including training and technical support.
  • Technical presentations to existing and potential customers.
  • Attendance at exhibitions/conferences.

KPIs

  • Engaging with customer to determine satisfaction after a ticket has been closed
  • Tracking and reporting the status of demos
  • Establishment of reference customers for the new technologies

What we are looking for in you

  • Educated to degree level or above.
  • Practical experience in mammalian cell line development
  • Experience as a Field Application Scientist
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Team player
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, combined with a pro-active, flexible and adaptive approach to work
  • Highly organized with experience of using databases to maximum effect.
  • MUST hold a valid, current driving licenses for the territory
  • Hold a current valid passport

Physical Requirements for this role include:

  • You must be able to use basic office equipment: computer, printer, copier, telephone, etc.
  • Must be able to remain stationary for extended periods of time.
  • Must be capable of clearly communicating – verbal and oral
  • 40% travel to prospects (including overseas), customers, distributors and trade events

Work Location: Remote, Field West Coast

Targeted Salary Range: $70,000 - $140,000/year

Working Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
