Job Summary:
Nova Biomedical is seeking a Regional Sales Director North to drive profitable sales of Nova Biomedical’s clinical product portfolio across the UK, Ireland, and Nordic region. This role is responsible for building, coaching, and leading a high-performing regional commercial team while ensuring approved policies and procedures are followed in daily commercial activities. The Regional Sales Director North will develop strategic and tactical regional business plans, lead execution against sales and unit targets, strengthen customer and Key Opinion Leader relationships, and partner cross-functionally to expand Nova Biomedical’s clinical product presence across the region.
Responsibilities:
- Build an annual Regional Strategic Business Plan, including sales and unit targets, along with a tactical plan to support achievement of regional goals and commercial success.
- Lead the Regional Commercial Team in executing the tactical plan to exceed sales and unit targets.
- Build, coach, and develop a high-performing Regional Commercial Team, ensuring team members are equipped with product knowledge, sales tools, and sales skills to successfully sell Nova Biomedical’s clinical product portfolio.
- Support commercial success across Nova Biomedical’s clinical portfolio, including Point of Care meters, clinical osmometers, critical care blood gas analyzers, outpatient point of care testing products, sports medicine products, veterinary solutions, automated CSF cell counters, and anaerobic jar systems.
- Ensure the Regional Commercial Team follows pricing guidelines and discount approval processes using approved pricing tools.
- Ensure the Regional Commercial Team accurately logs activities and opportunities in Salesforce.com in alignment with corporate requirements.
- Partner closely with the Implementation Team to ensure a comprehensive post-sale handover that supports smooth and timely implementation of meters, analyzers, and consumables revenue streams.
- Partner with the Marketing Team to support appropriate investment in marketing activities that generate leads for Nova Biomedical’s clinical product portfolio and strengthen brand awareness.
- Partner with Medical and Scientific Affairs to identify and engage Regional Key Opinion Leaders and healthcare professionals to drive awareness and demand for Nova Biomedical’s clinical products.
- Ensure the Regional Commercial Team complies with Nova Biomedical ethics and compliance policies and operates within applicable local legal and regulatory requirements regarding payments, gifts, and hospitality to healthcare professionals.
- Lead Sales/Tender Administrators to ensure high-quality, accurate quotations and tender bids are prepared and submitted on time to maximize commercial success across the region.
- Spend at least 60% of time in field co-travel, providing sales support and coaching to the Regional Commercial Team.
- Ensure strong communication and collaboration across the Regional Commercial Team and with functional counterparts and Nova Biomedical corporate employees.
- Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts in line with corporate requirements.
- Ensure comprehensive and appropriate policies for Health and Safety, Human Resources, and employment legislation are followed.
- Ensure policies and procedures supporting ISO 9001:2015 accreditation are followed by the Regional Commercial Team.
Experience Requirements:
- Proven experience building, coaching, and leading high-performing regional commercial teams.
- Experience managing sales managers, key account managers, sales representatives, product specialists, and sales/tender administrators.
- Demonstrated ability to develop annual regional strategic business plans and tactical plans that support achievement of sales and unit targets.
- Strong sales forecasting, commercial planning, and execution skills.
- Experience leading preparation of accurate quotations and tender bids.
- Strong understanding of pricing guidelines, discount approval processes, and commercial financial discipline.
- Proficiency with Salesforce.com or similar CRM systems.
- Knowledge of clinical product portfolios, including blood gas analyzers, point-of-care meters, clinical osmometers, and related diagnostic solutions.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards and applicable ethics and compliance policies related to healthcare professionals.
- Experience engaging Key Opinion Leaders and healthcare professionals to support product awareness and demand generation.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with Marketing, Implementation, Medical and Scientific Affairs, corporate teams, and regional commercial teams.
- Ability and willingness to spend at least 60% of time in field co-travel providing coaching and customer-facing sales support.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Ability to travel as required (including air and ground transportation).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to safely operate a motor vehicle as needed for job responsibilities.
- Ability to store, transport materials, samples, or demonstration equipment (up to ~25 pounds).
- Ability to stand and engage with customers for extended periods.
- Ability to adapt to varying work environments (e.g., customer sites, laboratories, offices)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in the UK, with client visits.
