About the role

As the Regional Sales Director, you will drive profitable sales growth for the Nova Biomedical Clinical portfolio across the UK, Ireland, and the Nordics by building and coaching a high-performing team that adheres strictly to established company policies and procedures.

What you’ll do

  • Build an annual Regional Strategic Business Plan including Sales and Unit Targets, and a Tactical Plan to support achievement of goals and commercial success across the Region.
  • Lead Regional Commercial Team to execute the Tactical Plan to exceed Sales and Unit targets.
  • Build a high-performing Regional Commercial Team, ensuring they are empowered and equipped with product knowledge, sales tools and sales skills, to successfully sell Nova Biomedical’s portfolio of clinical products spanning:
    • Point of Care Meters (Stat Strip and Stat Sensor meters)
    • Clinical Osmometers
    • Critical Care Blood Gas Analyzers (Stat Profile Prime and Prime Plus analyzers)
    • Outpatient Point of Care Testing (Allegro analyzer and Nova Max Pro eGFR meter)
    • Sports Medicine (Lactate Plus meter)
    • Veterinary Solutions (Stat Profile Prime VET CCS, Prime Plus VET, and Nova Vet meter)
    • Automated CSF Cell Counters (GloCyte)
    • Anaerobic Jar Systems (Anoxomat)
  • Ensure the Regional Commercial Team follow the pricing guidelines and approval processes for discounts, using the approved Pricing Tools provided.
  • Ensure the Regional Commercial Team accurately logs all activities and opportunities in salesforce.com CRM system in line with corporate requirements.
  • Work in close partnership with Implementation Team to ensure that there is a comprehensive handover post sale, to allow a smooth and timely implementation of meters or analyzers and consumables revenue stream.
  • Work in close partnership with the Marketing Team to ensure appropriate investment in marketing activities to generate leads for the portfolio of clinical products and Nova Biomedical brand awareness.
  • Work in close partnership with the Medical and Scientific Affairs (MASA) to identify and engage with Regional Key Opinion Leaders and other Healthcare professionals to drive awareness and demand for the unique parameters available on Nova Biomedical’s portfolio of clinical products.
  • Ensure the Regional Commercial Team complies the Nova Biomedical Ethics and Compliance policies and operates within the local legal and regulatory laws, with regards to payments, gifts and hospitality to healthcare professionals.
  • Lead Sales/Tender Administrators to ensure high quality, accurate quotations and tender bids are prepared and submitted on time, to maximize commercial success across the Region.
  • Spend at least 60% of the time in field co-travel, providing sales support and coaching to the Regional Commercial Team.
  • Ensure excellent communication and collaboration throughout the Regional Commercial Team, and with other functional counterparts and Nova Biomedical Corporate employees.
  • Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts in line with corporate requirements.
  • Ensure that comprehensive and appropriate policies for Health and Safety, Human Resources and Employment Legislation are followed.
  • Ensure policies and procedures to maintain ISO 9001:2015 accreditation are followed by the Regional Commercial Team.

What we are looking for in you

Leadership & People Development

  • Team Building: Experience in building and leading high-performing regional commercial teams.
  • Coaching: Proficiency in providing field-based sales support and coaching, requiring at least 60% of time spent in co-travel.
  • Management: Ability to manage a diverse team of Sales Managers, Account Managers, Product Specialists, and Administrators.

Strategic & Commercial Execution

  • Business Planning: Competency in creating annual Regional Strategic Business Plans and tactical plans to hit sales and unit targets.
  • Sales Forecasting: Capability to provide accurate and timely sales forecasts.
  • Tender Expertise: Ability to lead the preparation of high-quality quotations and tender bids.
  • Financial Discipline: Skills in managing pricing guidelines and discount approval processes.

Operational & Technical Proficiency

  • CRM Usage: Proficiency in logging all activities and opportunities within salesforce.com.
  • Product Expertise: Knowledge across a clinical portfolio including Blood Gas Analyzers, Point of Care meters, and Veterinary solutions.
  • Compliance & Standards: Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards and ethics/compliance policies regarding healthcare professionals.

Collaboration & Relationship Management

  • KOL Engagement: Ability to engage with Regional Key Opinion Leaders to drive demand.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Skills in working with Marketing, Implementation, and Medical and Scientific Affairs (MASA) teams.
