By combining our strengths, we're accelerating innovation, supporting critical workflows, and delivering world-class service across the biopharmaceutical and clinical markets.

Job Summary:

Nova Biomedical is seeking a Key Account Manager, Cell Line Development, East Coast to lead the growth of its Cell Line Development portfolio, including the Solentim and NanoCellect instrument portfolios, across key biopharmaceutical and contract development and manufacturing organization accounts on the U.S. East Coast. This role will play a pivotal part in expanding Nova Biomedical’s installed base within cell line development while enabling downstream reagent and consumables growth throughout the customer lifecycle.

The Key Account Manager will drive adoption of Nova Biomedical’s Cell Line Development instrumentation platform, including solutions that support clonality assurance, single-cell dispensing, and imaging workflows. This is a strategic, solution-oriented sales role focused on exceeding revenue targets, developing executive-level relationships, and positioning Solentim and NanoCellect solutions as core platforms within modern cell line development environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve and exceed instrument sales targets across the assigned East Coast territory.
  • Develop and execute territory and account-level strategies to expand Nova Biomedical’s presence within biopharmaceutical, biotechnology, and CDMO customers.
  • Develop deep, multilevel relationships with scientific, operational, and executive stakeholders within key accounts.
  • Identify whitespace opportunities and lead multisite and multi-instrument expansion strategies.
  • Engage with cell line development, upstream process development, and Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls teams to understand customer workflows and business challenges.
  • Position Solentim and NanoCellect instruments as critical enablers of efficiency, clonality assurance, and regulatory confidence.
  • Partner closely with Reagent Specialists and Account Managers to align instrument placements with reagent and consumables growth.
  • Build long-term account value by applying an integrated, platform-based selling approach.
  • Coordinate with Product Management, Marketing, and Applications teams to support product evaluations, demonstrations, and customer onboarding.
  • Influence internal and external stakeholders to support timely execution and successful deal progression.
  • Build and maintain a robust, high-quality pipeline of qualified instrument opportunities.
  • Deliver accurate sales forecasts and maintain disciplined opportunity management.
  • Develop long-term account strategies that deliver measurable growth and increased platform adoption.
  • Drive alignment across matrixed internal teams and complex customer organizations without direct authority.
  • Establish trust and credibility with senior customer stakeholders.
  • Maintain momentum and accountability throughout complex, multistakeholder sales cycles.
  • Increase Cell Line Development instrument installations across leading East Coast biopharmaceutical accounts.
  • Expand platform adoption across multiple sites and teams within existing customer organizations.
  • Strengthen alignment between instrument placements and recurring consumables growth.
  • Support predictable and scalable revenue through disciplined pipeline development and sales execution.

Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven success in capital equipment or scientific instrument sales within biopharmaceutical or biotechnology markets.
  • Strong understanding of cell line development workflows and upstream process environments preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex key accounts and long sales cycles.
  • Experience developing and executing strategic territory and account plans.
  • Strong consultative and solution-based selling skills.
  • Ability to identify customer workflow challenges and connect those needs to scientific and business solutions.
  • Experience developing relationships with scientific, operational, procurement, and executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify account expansion opportunities across multiple sites, teams, and instrument placements.
  • Strong pipeline management, opportunity management, and forecasting skills.
  • Ability to influence and coordinate effectively across Sales, Applications, Marketing, Product Management, and customer teams.
  • Strong executive communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
  • Results-oriented approach with a demonstrated ability to achieve ambitious revenue targets.
  • Resilience and the ability to maintain momentum through complex, multistakeholder sales processes.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative, matrixed commercial organization.
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout the assigned East Coast territory based on customer and business needs.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Willingness to travel as required (including air and ground transportation).
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to safely operate a motor vehicle as needed for job responsibilities.
  • Able to store, transport materials, samples, or demonstration equipment (up to ~25 pounds).
