By combining our strengths, we're accelerating innovation, supporting critical workflows, and delivering world-class service across the biopharmaceutical and clinical markets.

Job Summary:

The Territory Manager (New Zealand) drives sales growth and market expansion across both the North and South Islands for our Clinical Point of Care (PoC) portfolio, including our Blood Gas solutions. This role balances nurturing existing healthcare accounts with aggressively hunting for new business opportunities to meet and exceed regional revenue targets. Operating autonomously, the successful candidate will effectively manage their own schedule and territory plan while optimizing clinical end-user relationships. Success relies on maintaining pipeline hygiene in Salesforce CRM, hitting clear operational KPIs, and translating market potential into sustained account growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive territory revenue growth and market share expansion across New Zealand by executing strategic sales plans and hunting for new Clinical Point of Care (PoC) and Blood Gas (BG) opportunities.
  • Cultivate key relationships and strategic partnerships with clinical stakeholders, laboratory personnel, procurement, and key decision-makers across the North and South Islands to increase account retention and expansion.
  • Maintain impeccable Salesforce CRM data and opportunity pipelines by logging all daily interactions, updating account histories promptly, and accurately tracking deal stages.
  • Deliver accurate sales forecasts and business reporting on a regular basis to regional leadership using Salesforce and Power BI analytics.
  • Leverage market data and Power BI insights to identify high-potential target accounts, optimize daily travel itineraries, and drive effective account management strategies.
  • Master and champion the Clinical PoC and BG product portfolio, acting as a subject matter expert to effectively segment the market and position solutions against competitor offerings.
  • Execute marketing initiatives, regional events, and cross-functional collaborations to build brand presence, leverage internal synergy, and strengthen market position across New Zealand.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support wider business objectives and regional growth targets.

Experience Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a science, medical technology, or business-related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven track record in sales within the medical device, point-of-care diagnostics, or healthcare capital equipment industries.
  • Demonstrated territory management excellence, with strong self-management, business planning, and strategic execution skills.
  • Deep understanding of the New Zealand healthcare system, including hospital workflows, procurement processes, and clinical stakeholder management.
  • Proficiency in CRM and sales analytics, with hands-on experience using Salesforce and data tools such as Power BI to manage pipelines and report accurately.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills, balancing account management with a driven mindset for new market expansion.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of successful B2B territory sales experience in medical devices, IVD diagnostics, or clinical equipment.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience autonomously managing a large geographic territory, account planning, and field travel.
  • At least 2 years of experience using Salesforce CRM or an equivalent system for pipeline management and data platforms such as Power BI.
  • Full, unrestricted driver’s license and willingness to travel across the North and South Islands, including up to 40–50% overnight travel.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Science, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical industry experience.
  • Advanced degree in a relevant clinical science or business management field is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely and sit for extended periods during regional road travel across the territory.
  • Ability to manage frequent domestic flights and overnight travel.
  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull equipment, demonstration units, and marketing collateral weighing up to 20 kg (44 lbs).
  • Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods at a desk, operate computer equipment, and perform repetitive tasks using wrists, hands, and fingers, including typing in Salesforce CRM and handling diagnostic devices.
